Hello, my name is Carla and I am a floating
teacher here at Skribbles Main Street.
I have very happily worked here for nearly 5
years, and have enjoyed every minute of it.
I am originally from England but have lived in
the United States for 10 years now. I really love living here
and feel like this is my home now but I do still miss England.
Most of all I miss my family, especially my Mam, Dad, and
Nana. Luckily they come and visit us so that is the best time
for us.
I have a wonderful husband of 11 years and two
amazing, loving children. My son, Xander, is nearly 8 years
old ad my daughter is 2. Her name is Lilah-Eve and she is our
spirited little ray of light. She attends Skribbles and
absolutely loves it here!
Our son is our inspiration in life. He has
autism and is spending his days working hard to have a better
life and to learn the things that typical children already
know naturally. He truly is our "brave super hero"
for all he goes through every day and how much he
accomplishes.
My favorite things to do these days is have
down time with my family, especially snuggle time and even
just sitting and reading stories together. We also spend time
talking to our family via the webcam, it makes us feel like we
are not so far away from each other.
I really enjoy my job here at Skribbles. I love
talking to the children and getting to know them. It feels
great to watch them learning and growing and seeing them
interact with their friends. I do think that I have the best
job as a floating teacher I get to visit all the rooms and get
to know all the children!
