Tara Rogers
Director, Otis Street- 2003
Hi, my name is Tara and I am the Center Director of Operations and co-owner of Skribbles Learning Center. I have been in the Early Childhood field for over 20 years and I still enjoy my job. I started my career working in a group daycare center as an assistant teacher before starting Skribbles Family Daycare in 1992. During my time at home, I continued to take classes to obtain the DEEC certifications to become an Infant, Toddler, and Preschool Lead Teacher as well as hold a position of Director II. After many years of working in my home, my sister, Julie and I thought it would be perfect to join our talents and open a Group Child Care Center together. I currently live in Shrewsbury, MA with my husband, Jim, and our two boys; Jesse, who is 12 and in the 6th grade and Jason, who is 10 and in the 4th grade. I am a proud Mom to my boys who have each earned the rank of Black Belt in Tae Kwon Do in 2010. In addition, both boys are active with the Boy Scouts and also play Youth Hockey for the Junior Crusaders. Animal Rescue Leagues are important to my family and we have recently rescued two dogs from organizations; Tanner, a Chocolate Labrador from Arkansas and Parker, a Golden Retriever from Tennessee. We also live with a Ball Python snake and two parrots. Needless to say, living in a home full of boys (and animals!) is very busy! When I'm not working, you'll find me at the hockey rink or spending quality time with my family. Together, we also enjoy traveling and going to the movies. Returning to a large setting, I have learned that working in a Center is very different from being in a home environment. There are many more families and children to learn about. However, I am giving the same promise here that I did in my family daycare; to see that your children are given the utmost love and care possible, while having a fun experience away from home. I look forward to meeting each and every one of you and welcome you to Skribbles Learning Center.
Juliane Blackmore
Business Director- 2003
Hello, my name is Juliane. I am the Business Director and co- owner of Skribbles Learning Center, LLC. I graduated from Suffolk University with a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration. Since then, I have worked at large corporations including Hasbro, Inc. and Staples, Inc., but I always longed for owning a business of my own.
After years of tossing the idea back and forth, my sister, Tara, and I thought it was time to bring our talents together. We both had the experience and a love for children. We opened Skribbles Learning Center on February 3, 2003.
I currently live in Shrewsbury with my son, Nicholas, and our German Shepherds Reggie and Leo. Nicholas and I love traveling, hanging out with family and friends, and playing with our dog. Nicholas just graduated from High School and will make the big leap to college in the fall. This should be quite an adventure for both of us.
If given the opportunity, we promise to make your stay at Skribbles a memorable one.
Rosa S.
Infant Teacher, Otis Street- 2003
Hello, my name is Rosa. I am the Infant teacher at Skribbles Learning Center. I have been working in the Early Childhood field for fourteen years. All of my experience has been with infants and young toddlers. I am certified by the Department of Early Education and Care to work in both infant and toddler classrooms. I am currently attending more classes to further my career in Early Childhood Education.
I was born in Puerto Rico and moved to the United States when I was 7 years old. I currently live in Shrewsbury with my 14-year-old son, Carlos and my 7 year old daughter Kiara. Carlos attends 8th grade in Shrewsbury Middle School, while Kiara is in the first grade at Shrewsbury Elementary Schools.
I have a strong passion for children, probably from growing up in a large family where I was one of the oldest. When I'm not at Skribbles, I enjoy spending time with Carlos and Kiara and my family and friends. I really look forward to establishing a relationship with you and your children.
Laura W.
Toddler Teacher, Otis Street- 2004
Hello, my name is Laura and I am a Toddler teacher at the Otis Street location. I attended Tahanto Regional Middle/High School and obtained my teacher certification after 4 years of dedicated, hard work to their on-site preschool. After high school I knew the early childhood education field was for me. In September 2004 I joined the Skribbles family, working in the Preschool classroom. Soon after, a position opened in the toddler room and I have been there ever since. It is my goal to provide a well rounded, safe, nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment for the children in my care. One of my favorite activities to do with the toddlers are art projects. The messier the better!!! The process is more important than the product. If the kids get messy, have learned something new and had a great time doing it then I have done my job.
In my free time I take part in online courses to obtain my lead teacher certification, enjoy spending time with my family and boyfriend, reading, movies, and photography. I feel that being able to capture moments that the children have at school, and being able to send those moments home to the parents is priceless. I look forward to meeting you and welcoming you into the Skribbles family.

Hi, my name is Judi. I am one of the Pre-K teachers at Skribbles Learning Center at the Otis St. location. For the past fifteen years I have been teaching Pre-K. I find it is the most rewarding vocation I have had the pleasure to be a part of.
